Jennifer Simpson

Jennifer studied for a BSc Hons in Biology at the University of Portsmouth.  She joined The Pirbright Institute Bioimaging Group as a Research Assistant in 2002 and after leaving to work in a hospital histopathology laboratory for two years, returned in 2012 as a Senior Microscopist.  In April 2024 she was appointed Head of Bioimaging.  She is an active member of the Royal Microscopical Society and in 2020 completed the RMS Diploma with her project ‘The study of Marek’s disease virus in feather follicle epithelium’.
