Dr Rory Fortes De Brito

Rory graduated in Pharmacy from the University of Ouro Preto and went on to obtain a PhD at the same University, where he developed peptide and chimera vaccines against visceral leishmaniasis using immunoinformatics approaches. As a vaccinologist and immunologist, he conducted two years of post-doctoral fellow working at the Biological Sciences Research Nucleus, leading immunological and research on vaccine development for Chagas disease and Leishmaniasis. In January 2021, he took up the joint position of post-doctoral scientist in PRRS Immunology Group at The Pirbright Institute.
