Sophie Cutts

Sophie obtained her BSc (Hons) in Bioveterinary Science (2020) at the University of Lincoln, before conducting an MSc by Research at the University of Lincoln (2022), focusing on EqHV1 and FeHV1 capsid assembly. Throughout her time at Lincoln, she developed an interest in virology and the control of infectious disease, particularly through the concept of One-Health.
Sophie is now undertaking a PhD understanding the RNA changes induced by Marek's Disease Virus, under the supervision of Dr Yongxiu Yao at The Pirbright Institute and Professor Gill Elliott at the University of Surrey.
