Olivia currently works as part of the Immunogenetics team carrying out VLP production, and FMDV antibody cloning and expression, as well as supporting her colleagues in the laboratory.
She graduated from the University of Manchester in 2020 with a BSc in Biomedical Science. During her undergraduate, a laboratory placement characterising gene expression in yeast confirmed her enthusiasm to follow a career in biological research.
Olivia then went on to complete an MSc in Molecular Biology at Imperial College London. A second placement centring around cloning and expressing a novel protein from S. pyogenes further developed her molecular biology skills
