Mehari Teweldebrhan
Mehari got his BSc. in biology from Eritrea Institute of Technology, Eritrea in 2016. His undergraduate research focused to assign a two newly discovered plants in their evolutionary tree among the Aloe species.
After venturing into teaching in high school for four years, Mehari did his master’s in biotechnology from University of Lincoln in 2021. His research was focused on measuring the DNA damage caused by anti-cancer drug by combining it with hormone cycling therapy on castration resistant prostate cancer cells.
After that, Mehari joined a pharmaceutical company, Lonza, as quality control technologist, and worked on testing raw materials and batch release before heading into manufacturing for one year.
In 2023, Mehari joined the Non vesicular reference laboratory as laboratory analyst and works on diagnostic aspects of the lab on different viruses.
