Holly Everest

Holly is a PhD student partnered with The University of Oxford, working on virus-glycan interactions and novel antiviral therapeutic treatments of coronaviruses, under the supervision of Dr Dalan Bailey (Viral Glycoproteins Group), Dr Sarah Keep (Coronavirus Group) and Prof. Thomas Bowden (Oxford University, Division of Structural Biology). This research aims to better understand virus-host interactions and specific receptor binding profiles of viruses, to allow for more targeted antiviral treatments.

Holly worked as a researcher in the department of Avian Virology at the Animal and Plant Health Agency, Weybridge in avian influenza and porcine coronavirus research before making the transition to The Pirbright Institute. Prior to this, Holly completed her BSc in Medical Biology working on porcine alphacoronaviruses.
