Bailey Hairsine
Bailey is a PhD student working in collaboration with the University of Bristol veterinary school. At the institute, he is a part of the PRRS Immunology group studying the mechanisms involved in PRRSV induced immunosuppression.
Prior to commencing his PhD, Bailey worked as an associate scientist at a biotech company specialised in immunotherapeutic drug discovery, where he was involved in developing and evaluating novel antibody-recruiting molecules to treat antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections. Bailey also holds an integrated master’s degree in biomedical sciences from the University of Manchester. His master’s research project focused on immunomodulation following myocardial infarction in sheep.
