Originally from South Africa, Adam obtained his Master’s degree in Medical Virology at the University of Pretoria in 2020. From there, he took a brief segue from research and worked in industry roles including veterinary diagnostics and lentiviral gene therapy.
In 2024, Adam joined the Immunogenetics group at Pirbright and has been working understanding the early humoral responses of bovine tuberculosis and foot-and-mouth disease virus. He is passionate about virology and immunology and is inspired by the real-world impact that research can have on understanding and preventing infectious diseases in animals and humans.
