Abdelaziz Yassin
Abdelaziz is a PhD student in the Vesicular disease Reference Laboratory Group led by Dr Donald King at The Pirbright Institute, working on foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV).
Abdelaziz obtained his BVSc and Masters in Virology from Cairo University, Egypt. His masters project focused on developing a novel intranasal vaccine using immune adjuvant nanoparticles to be used in emergent situation.
He has seven years industrial experience in FMDV vaccine development, production, and evaluation.
His current PhD project aims develop novel serological tools that can be used to measure serotype-specific responses in livestock after vaccination and infection.
